You may have noticed that some of our produce is listed as “In Transition” for it’s certification.
This means that the property is in the process of becoming certified organic. Full conversion to certified organics can take 1-3 years depending on the property, its history & soil test results.
The farm will be audited & there will be specific recommendations which must be complied with plus the normal strict standards & rules for organic certification.
Once the required changes have been made & the farmer has proved their skills & confidence in working with natural systems & has re-designed the farm & operation accordingly, it is plain sailing to full certification.
