Greens are slowing down & this may be our last week for decently priced kale, local cavolo nero has finished & silverbeet may hang in there for a few weeks yet!
Local honey nuts & supermarket squash are just about done & we have begun getting Crown pumpkin, beetroot & kumara from the greater South Island.
Local carrots are still going but as the North Island supplies short up, big organic stores will start sniffing around our local carrots & prices will go up.
Cauliflower & broccoli is at its fantastic best but I don’t know whether there are any more crops coming to fruition after these patches are finished.
A few local leeks around but we are supplementing them with South Island leeks which are larger than our local options.
We are on to our last week or two of local mandarins but local kiwifruit are all go!
